A Message from the Women of Idaksahak to Our Men: Defend Your People Without Losing Your Humanity

An appeal from the women of Idaksahak to their husbands, sons, brothers, fathers and uncles. It calls on them to fear Allah, to protect women, children, the elderly and the sick, and to refuse cruelty and destruction, so that the defense of the people stays just, merciful and honorable.

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. This message is from the women of Idaksahak to the men of Idaksahak. We want to be proud of our husbands, sons, brothers, fathers, and uncles. Fear Allah. If a woman is thirsty, give her water. If a child is hungry, feed him if you can. Help the elderly and the sick. Respect women, protect children, show mercy to the weak, and do not abuse or humiliate anyone helpless. Islam commands justice and mercy and forbids ظلم (injustice) and transgression. Cruelty is not strength. Harming someone defenseless does not make a man honorable. We want our men to be known for courage, dignity, discipline, mercy, and fear of Allah. To every Idaksahak woman: speak seriously to your husbands, sons, brothers, fathers, and uncles. Tell them to fear Allah before anger, revenge, or fighting takes control of them. Tell them clearly: do not touch women, children, elderly people, the sick, the wounded, or anyone who is not fighting. Do not harm animals without right. Harming the weak is not courage and it is not manhood. A real man protects the innocent, controls himself, and remembers that one day he will stand before Allah and answer for every injustice. Women of Idaksahak, carry this message into every home and make sure our men hear it clearly. Do not burn people's food. Do not burn their homes. Do not destroy what innocent families need to survive. We know what it feels like to lose our homes, our food, our security, and our dignity. We lived that pain ourselves, and we do not want to become what hurt us. We want to be better than that. We want our land back, our dignity back, and our people protected without cruelty, injustice, or forbidden blood. We want to say with pride: these are our men, our sons, our brothers, and our fathers, and they defended their people without losing their humanity, their honor, or their fear of Allah. May Allah protect the innocent and keep our hands away from injustice. Ameen. ♥️ — Rose Walet Moussa
